Lone explorer - Krabi Thailand

Good day greetings from Tenny, restaurateur living in Malaysia. Am from India and married to a Malaysian national.
During the early times of marriage I  have to exit and re-enter every month (for 6 months) before applying for spouse visa. Since I had no other options to consider, I decided to visit the nearby neighbouring country Thailand as my exit plan.

That was my first time into Thailand and am travelling all alone. πŸ˜‡
(After that made trip to Thailand on monthly basis 😁)

When it comes to travelling Thailand from Malaysia, we have multiple modes of transport which is cheaper by all means and modes.

 Modes of Transport to Thailand
  • Airplane ✈
  • Bus 🚌
  • Train πŸš…
  • Private Van (Penang bound) 🚐
  • And ofcourse your personal vehicle
The fastest mode is by flying  and the slowest is by train as need to inter-change at the border.

Now to the point I wanted to take a moment and highlight  my favorite travel experiences that can also help you travel better, cheaper, and smarter in various provinces of Thailand.

Let's get going......✈✈✈✈✈✈

 Let's Fly the Krabi Way
✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈

Boarded flight from Kualalumpur International Airport, the journey took an hour to reach Krabi International Airport. https://g.page/dancarrentkrabiThailand?share (IATA Code - KBV)

Krabi Airport🏒🏒

Landed in Krabi International Airport. It's a medium sized airport  opened in 1999 with regular flights to South East Asian countries and domestic destinations. The airport gets busier during the high season.
Immigration procedures were smooth and quick, proceeded to the arrival hall after customs and was greeted by the "LAND OF SMILES"

Yes, the first smile from the Airport appeared from Taxi Drivers and the Tour agents.πŸ˜‹

Arrival hall is filled with numerous travel agencies and small convenient shops.

  • If you want to travel faster to Krabi city or Ao Nang, you have private taxi services at your request. The prices are bit high compared to normal airport taxis.
  • Airport taxis are second most costliest way of travelling.
  • The cheapest transport available to travel into the province is the "Airport Shuttle Bus"

πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†πŸ‘†
Although the travelling time is long to reach the city and beach, but its worth the ride for 90Baht.

Tickets for Airport shuttle bus can be purchased at the level 1 of arrival hall by telling the name of your booked hotel/hostel, The driver will stop at the main entrance of passenger's booked stays.

During my first visit stayed at "Holiday Station" in Krabi Town. A movie theatre converted into a hostel. Cozy box style rooms for single and double occupancies.
